DeepTech Alliance welcomes our corporate partners, deeptech startups & scaleups, and DTA members to Energy 2025 business creation program.

With over 20 international corporations and 20 startups & scaleups from more than 10 European countries gathering in Leuven and Genk, Belgium, hosted by DeepTechAlliance's local member imec, we invite you to discover real business opportunities, learn from extensive industry experience and expand your business network.

Important practical information: For those arriving early on Monday, the 24th, to participate in the pre-program visit to imec in Leuven on Tuesday morning, we recommend staying the first night in Leuven. We will arrange an informal dinner on Monday evening. For Tuesday night, we suggest staying in Genk. Keynote: Beyond the Prototype: Conquering the Industrial Scaling Hurdle

Europe has the deep tech, but does it have the industrial might to thrive in hard tech? Scaling deep tech industrial startups—whether building battery gigafactories, drone production plants, or EV factories—is one of the toughest challenges in the entrepreneurial world. In this keynote, we’ll explore why many hard tech ventures fail to transition from prototype to mass production. From the pitfalls of scaling too quickly without refining pilot lines to the immense capital requirements that outstrip traditional VC funding, this talk will provide actionable insights for founders, investors, and ecosystem builders. We’ll also discuss Europe’s need for competitive manufacturing capabilities, the role of strategic partnerships, and the growing opportunity in defense markets. Join us to uncover how Europe can rise to the challenge and lead the next wave of industrial innovation.
